I just heard the sad news that our friend and Tumwater High School Class of 1975 classmate, Orville Kenneth Gilbert passed away on October 5th. Orville was an awesome guy and he will be missed by us all.

Here are thoughts passed on to us by a friend:

I thought you'd like to know that Orville Gilbert passed away Oct. 5th.  I attended his memorial service in Tacoma last Friday.  There must have been close to 500 people there.  It was an awesome thing.  He was a loving, giving individual.  He turned 50 in May.  At the reunion, he had lost so much weight, he felt great and had so much going for him.  His family was doing great.  He said he felt humbled that he was so blessed.  It was so good to see him doing so well.  I guess he collapsed at Home Depot ...they don't know the exact reason.   I'm so sad that he is not with us any more.  It's so strange to think he said, "Going to Home Depot.  Be back in a little bit."  And that was it.  Makes you see how important it is to live right.  I'm so glad that he was a man of great faith.
